With the launch of the blog attached to my website I would like to post a video I made regarding the events in the world recently.
Racism and social injustice have started spreading around the world.
In my home country (Sweden) the right wing party got 13% of the votes, and are now forcing government to reelection for the first time since 1958. All over europe intolercence keeps spreading with racism as one of its main setbacks.
ln America the police have killed another victim, Eric Garner, alongside with Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown and Darrien Hunt and more. Making trust for the justice system harder than ever. By now it would be ridiculous to not acknowledge this recent events around the world as a trend, and a bad one at that.
People seem to find that the fight for equal rights is something that will happen by itself, and is for that reason not worthy of their time. Everything is apparently "Better now than it's ever been before" which is supposed to stand as a acceptable response to these type of problems - while in fact most people don't even care to talk about it.
I made this video to highlight that no change in the world has ever come without a fight and it's about time that everyone starts pulling their weight in the war for equal rights, because it is not going to happen by itself.
In 1957 a great man sat in a talkshow speaking about one of the biggest injustices of all time. Maybe he can shed some light on how constant a battle like this needs to be, and how long it takes.
Here it is, Privileged.
